Blackberry Curve 8520 Help!?

Ive just brought a blackberry 8520 on a sim only contract with orange. I downloaded msn from app world but when i try to sign in to it, it just say 'service not enabled for this handheld'. I also downloaded facebook which doesnt work but i can use it by using the internet browser. Any ideas why these arent working?
