How to keep my dog out of my fridge?

I have an annoyingly smart 97 pound chocolate lab who has recently taught himself how to open fridges. He likes to help himself, I suppose. Any ideas on how to keep him out? Yes, I'm working on training him but I'm not always around to scold him. My new fridge doesn't even have handles (and those that do have handles are no problem for him), but he just nudges it open with his nose. He's very strong. I've tried a child-lock on it, but it's adhesive-based and he easily broke it, even after I hot glued it onto the fridge.
